The first step to getting the right support for your child is to receive a robust and reliable assessment from a qualified clinician. The assessment will involve an appointment with a qualified clinician to review the presence of the ADHD characteristics in greater detail and assess them in line with the diagnostic criteria.
We will ask you to complete a variety of questionnaires that provide our clinics with helpful data. Depending on the age of the client bein assessed, we may ask them to complete questionnaires, as well as their educational setting.
This in-depth interview is conducted by a Young Wellbeing Hub qualified clinicians. They will explore and discuss the any difficulties the client has been facing.
The clinician will discuss the outcome of the assessment, alongside any preliminary advice and recommendations they may have.
This comprehensive document will state the outcome of the assessment and may contain a formal diagnosis if decided upon. It will also include clear recommendations for any essential support.
