MBT Therapy
Our MBT (Mentalisation-Based Treatment) Service is designed for neurodivergent children, teens, adults, carers, and partners. This form of therapy provides a supportive, neuro-affirmative space to develop self-awareness, enhance emotional regulation, and improve relationships. Whether you experience communication challenges, struggle with emotional regulation, or seek a deeper understanding of yourself and others, MBT Therapy offers practical tools for personal growth and social connection.
What is MBT Therapy?
Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals understand their own thoughts, emotions, and the mental states of others. The ability to “mentalise,” or make sense of why we and others behave in certain ways, is central to building and maintaining healthy relationships. MBT Therapy helps individuals reflect on their emotions and those of others to reduce misunderstandings, emotional reactivity, and impulsive behaviours. This, in turn, leads to more stable relationships and improved emotional well-being.
Who can benefit?
Our MBT Therapy service is available to neurodivergent children and adults looking to enhance emotional well-being and strengthen relationships.
Whether navigating communication differences, or seeking tools for emotional regulation, this programme offers practical guidance for personal growth and meaningful connections in a neuro-affirmative way.
Our Offer
Our MBT Therapy service is flexible and personalised to meet each individual’s needs in a safe, neuro-affirmative environment. Sessions are available in blocks of 6 sessions and each session lasts 50 minutes.
6-session blocks: These focused therapy blocks provide intensive support for enhancing emotional regulation, improving mentalisation (understanding of self and others), and building stronger, healthier relationships. Each block is designed to build on previous sessions, offering practical strategies and tools for sustained growth.
