Our Team
At 15, growing up in Dagenham, Essex, Michael was forced to leave school before completing his GCSEs due to his own mental health challenges and is now passionate about helping young people have better access to mental health and education support.
Michael founded the Young Wellbeing Hub, from his desire to provide children and young people with access to the very best clinicians within the UK, ensuring they are delivered the highest levels of care and service.
Jenny’s approach is person-centred, and her modality is integrative, which allows her to work across modalities with adults and families utilising skills from Psychodynamic, Trauma informed, sensorimotor psychotherapy, DBT, CBT, ACT, CAT, Integrative and EMDR. Throughout her career, Jenny has worked in primary, secondary and tertiary care systems, higher education and charities. Jenny is passionate about working with complex presentations and promoting understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity.
In her work within these organisations, Josephine has offered Art Therapy interventions and Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT) group and 1:1 evidence-based input. This supports clients to gain interpersonal skills, better manage their emotions and build a stronger sense of self. Josephine has a keen interest in neurodiversity and has designed interventions to support neurodivergent individuals to blossom in a group context.
In senior leadership roles, she has contributed to policy development, clinical protocols, governance, and quality assurance. Additionally, Samantha offers clinical supervision and support to other professionals in the field and has published academic texts and research in MBT Art Psychotherapy.
With a BSc in Psychology and over 2-years working in the private mental health sector, I have a keen understanding of neurodiversity and mental health, and advocate for a neuroaffirmative approach to support the neurodiverse community. I have experience supporting the YWH team in developing clinical content, and the subsequent delivery of this. Additionally, I have begun assisting the clinical team with our service offer; including co-delivery of psychological education and webinars.
I am responsible for answering the telephone and replying to correspondence received by email from all Clients. I am the point of contact for the Clinicians, booking appointments and ensuring diaries are kept up to date. I support the Clinicians with their administration tasks checking and formatting letters and reports before sending out to Clients. I send prescriptions requests to the Clinicians to make sure all clients receive their medication promptly. I am knowledgeable on Shared Care Agreements sending to GP Surgeries once Clinicians have completed to ask for their acceptance of this. I also support and liaise with our finance team checking they have sent out invoices and payment requests.
Prior to Young Wellbeing Hub, I worked in both primary and secondary education settings, helping to support children and young people to thrive in education. I have seen first-hand the disconnect that can occur between education and health services, and the detrimental this can have on young people’s wellbeing, and therefore strive to help bridge the gap, and collaborate, for the benefit of the service users. Coming from a neurodivergent family, I am passionate about promoting neuro-affirming language and practice to ensure we are empowering individuals to embrace their neuro-type.
