Our Story
Young Wellbeing Hub is a CQC-registered provider of high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments, mental health assessments, therapeutic support for children, young people, adults, and their support networks. We also provide medication titration services specifically for children and young people.
Our priority is to help individuals by placing them at the centre of what we do and adopting an integrative approach to better understand their needs.
Our Mission
Young Wellbeing Hub was founded with a vision to create a space where individuals could receive the support they needed to thrive, starting with diagnostic assessments.
However, it soon became clear that offering diagnoses alone wasn’t enough. The post-diagnostic landscape is often a post-code lottery, with inconsistencies in access and quality depending on various criteria, such as location and age. Our clients often found this overwhelming and complex to navigate. In addition, individuals disclosed that they were facing challenges that required more than just an explanation—they needed support and empowerment.

This realisation led to a transformative shift in our approach, from once a purely diagnostic service to a more integrative and multi-modal approach. The goal became not just to diagnose, but to empower. The team began incorporating various therapeutic modalities and a strong emphasis on person-centred care and post-diagnostic support. This shift allowed us to focus on helping people fully understand and embrace their neurodivergence, promoting empowerment and self-acceptance, and ensuring that everyone received ongoing, individualised support to thrive in their everyday lives.
As part of this evolution, Young Wellbeing Hub expanded its services across the lifespan. Recognising that neurodivergence impacts not just individuals, but their families and communities, therefore we began offering support to parents, families, and couples, as well as education and employment settings. This comprehensive, person-centred approach allowed us to create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of those they serve, fostering empowerment and inclusivity at every stage of life.

Our Founder’s Story

After founding CAMHS Professionals, the UK’s leading staffing business in children’s mental health, Michael saw first-hand the urgent need for better access to care for young people. This inspired him to establish Young Wellbeing Hub in 2021, a multidisciplinary mental health clinic initially focused on neurodevelopmental assessments. As the demand for services grew, the Hub expanded into a broader clinic model, designed to meet the complex and diverse mental health needs of young people.
As a teenager, Michael faced his own mental health challenges, dropping out of school at 15 and struggling with addiction to online gaming. These experiences gave him a unique perspective and a deep empathy for young people navigating their own challenges.
Today, Michael continues to drive change in the sector. He has since established a crisis service to support young people during their most vulnerable moments and is in the process of registering two OFSTED-regulated children’s homes.
Michael is committed to transforming the landscape of children’s mental health services, creating a future where every young person has access to the support they need, when they need it most.
